M&S Machine & Tool Co., Inc. is looking for a skilled CNC Setup Operator to join our team in West Haven, CT. Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision machined parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work holding equipment
- Input, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) as needed
- Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Monitor machine performance and make offset adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards
- Proven experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines in a production or job shop environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and GD&T
- Working knowledge of G-code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc)
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage setups with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and tight tolerances
- Experience with a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team-oriented attitude
