OVERVIEW

The peer recreation technician will work under the supervision of the Quality of life Manager to ensure the well-being and enjoyment of participants. This position will work in collaboration with the QOL Manager to gather input from the program participants, help develop the monthly recreation calendar and co-facilitate events and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Activity Planning: Develop and implement recreational activities and programs that are tailored to participants' interests and abilities.
  • Community Engagement: Coordinate and participate in community events and outings to provide opportunities for social interaction and enrichment.
  • Support Services: Assist participants as needed during activities.
  • Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during all activities and outings.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive support to participants.
  • Communication: Facilitate group discussions and bring concerns that may arise to the QOL manager's or other supervisors' attention.
