Haven Bay Elementary - After-school Student Custodian

Weber School District is seeking applicants for part-time, after-school Student Custodian positions at Haven Bay Elementary. These roles are for current students aged 15-18, working 3 hours per day, 12 months per year.

The Student Custodian assists with cleaning school and district facilities and provides support to teachers, students, and staff under the guidance of the Head Custodian or Assistant Head Custodian.

• Maintain a clean and neat appearance and personal habits.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to clean assigned areas.
• Ability to operate a backpack vacuum, involving twisting and bending.
• Loyalty and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with grounds care and snow removal as assigned.
• Attend in-person district Part-time Custodial training (NCOT).
• Dress appropriately according to school dress code, including proper footwear.
• Use PPE such as gloves and safety glasses as required.
• Possibility of securing the school building at the end of shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervision is primarily provided by the Head Custodian or Assistant Head Custodian. In the absence of an Assistant Head Custodian, the Lead Custodian may have minimal supervisory responsibilities, such as securing the building and collecting keys. The Head or Assistant Head Custodian oversees ongoing training. Questions, time-off requests, and training inquiries should be directed to them. The school Principal supervises all school employees.

Work hours are typically from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm during the school year, with variations during summer depending on school needs.
