Job Overview

LocationWest Hempstead, NY
Compensation$17.00 - $18.00 per hour, plus $1,500 sign‑on bonus for groomers with 1+ years of experience.
Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional grooming services: brushing, bathing, conditioning, and styling.
- Follow owners’ instructions or breed standards while ensuring pet safety.
- Maintain a clean, inviting grooming environment.
- Provide support to store team members during grooming downtime.
- Build long‑term relationships with pet parents and recommend complementary products.
- Participate in community outreach to attract new customers.
- Complete Safety Training certification.
- Continuously develop grooming skills and techniques.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training or under a certified groomer.
- Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Stamina to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
- Ownership of clippers, blades, scissors, etc.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass drug screening (in applicable states) and be 18 years or older.
