Special Education Teacher; RSP

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe) to join our team in Los Angeles, CA! We have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, and we are hiring like-minded professionals to be part of our team.

• Start: ASAP | End: 6/11/26
• 40 hrs/week
• TK-3rd graders
• Caseload: 25 students (with para support)
• RSP (Push in and pull out services)
• Pay dependent on experience but starting at $50/hr

• Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
• Valid state license or certification for Moderate/Severe Education Specialist
• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs

• Provide direct/group instructions to students with disabilities
• Develop lesson plans/instructional material to meet needs of student’s IEP
• Conduct educational assessments
• Attend IEP meetings
• Assist in planning and development of IEP
• Facilitate implementation of special education services
• Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team
• Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners
• Effectively communicate with parents/caregivers and staff to support student’s academic success
• Modify traditional education curriculum to meet student’s needs
• Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing
• Employ techniques for positive behavioral support
• Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions
