Job Details

Director of Plant Engineering to lead all aspects of facility operations, engineering, maintenance, and capital improvement. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring safety, compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence across our hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead plant operations, preventive maintenance, and in-house renovations across all hospital facilities and grounds
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term engineering goals, policies, and cost-effective strategies
  • Manage department budgets and optimize resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA)
  • Drive sustainability and lead execution of the hospital’s 2030 decarbonization roadmap
  • Support capital development and modernization projects
  • Foster a high-performance team culture focused on safety, quality, and innovation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare engineering and plant operations
  • Strong knowledge of hospital systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
  • Project management experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and environmental sustainability preferred
  • CHFM certification preferred
