Details Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining and coordinating accessioning, handling and grossing preparation of surgical specimens and laboratory inquiries regarding specimen collection and processing for the hospital
  • Maintains and coordinates all laboratory inquiries and procedures regarding referred testing specimen collection and processing for the hospital and acts as a resource for hospital personnel regarding specimen procurement, testing and results
  • Maintains and coordinates all laboratory specimen pick-up and deliveries between CHS Hospitals and CHS Regional Laboratory Service facilities and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Six months experience in all phases of Phlebotomy in a hospital environment
  • Weekends and holidays as scheduled. Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy technicians
  • Experience in protocols involved in accessioning, handling, and preparation, including thin prep processing of cytology specimens desired.
  • Clean, valid NYS Driver's license required.
Salary Range

USD $25.10 - USD $25.10 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
