• Assists with admission of patients including reception, equipment preparation, vital signs, obtaining actual weights, orientation to surroundings and implementation of safety measures.
• Performs direct care with attention to personal hygiene, safety, comfort and skin care while anticipating the needs of the patient and family.
• Performs oxygen equipment preparation, phlebotomy, 12‑lead EKG and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Prepares patients for meals and assists with feeding as directed; distributes water and other nourishment as directed.
• Assists and/or transports patients in a timely and safe manner.
• Collects and transports specimens maintaining regulatory standards.
• Demonstrates understanding and cooperation with the prep process for the OR in a timely fashion.
• Transports patients to the CTICU.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a NA program, BOCES, Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent, or completion of medical/surgical experience within an RN program.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

USD 27.68 – 35.99 per hour. Base pay only; bonuses, incentives, differential pay or other compensation not included.
