Job Duties:

• Daily clinical operations of a newly opened Medical/Surgical unit
• Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continual professional growth
• Participate in managing budgets, resource allocation, scheduling, and staffing
• Analyze quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Address staff concerns and promote positive employee relations.
• Manage staff schedules, including vacation and sick leave, to ensure adequate coverage on the unit.
• Develop and implement staff education programs to maintain clinical competency and stay updated on surgical nursing best practices.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for Medical Surgical Nursing
• 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical experience
• Medical Surgical leadership experience preferred
• Clinical expertise in Nursing, computer skills in Microsoft suite, excellent communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and best practices.
• Education:
  
  Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Licensure:
  New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association Required

Salary Range
