Overview
Eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus, half paid at 6 months and the other half paid after one year of employment if experienced. Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. - Our SICU RNs assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients coming immediately from surgery.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
- Passion for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- 1+ years of experience in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree - Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- Licensure:
New York RN License & Registration - Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred
USD $54.48 - USD $74.72 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
