The Cafeteria Aide is responsible for providing meal service to the hospital staff. They are responsible for some food preparation, maintaining of stock and cleaning of the work area.

• Restock items when necessary
• Cook items on the grill to order
• Serves customers following portion control and proper plate presentation
• Operate the cash register utilizing cash handling protocol and policy
• Follows proper food handling, storage (FIFO), and serving of food (HACCP)
• Fill out requisitions for stock following par levels on a daily basis
• Clean Tables, Counters, Carts, Seating, Refrigerators, Steam table & wells, Grill, Microwaves, Doors, Glass, Salad Bar and Storage Racks
• Monitor and record temperature of all hot food

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience is required
• Strong communication skills (both oral & written) and customer service skills
• Flexible and able to work in stressful environment
• Ability to read well and write legibly
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Bi lingual, preferred

Food service and cash handling experience required; grill and deli experience preferred.

USD $23.79 - $29.40 /Hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
