. This role is part of the nation's leading retail pharmacy, serving millions of Americans through an extensive store network and digital channels.
As a primary beauty advisor, you will provide friendly, knowledgeable sales service to every customer who enters the store's beauty zone and build a personalized basket for each shopper. You are excited about beauty, engage conversations, and use your product knowledge to drive the largest sales basket possible.
Customer Sales Experience- Seek out customers to ensure they have a fantastic beauty advisor experience through personalized sales service based on customer needs, upselling, and suggestive selling.
- Engage in conversation with each customer as they enter the beauty zone; listen to and be sensitive to the customer's information, be conscious of their needs, and provide specialized sales advice.
- Use verbal skills to generate sales and stimulate a different thought process.
- Be the brand expert by answering customer questions with detailed product knowledge to produce the largest sales basket possible.
- Explain how various products help the customer address their needs, educate on proper usage, and leverage the CVS Beauty Club sampling program.
- Participate in company sales programs or events that positively impact business, including CVS Beauty Club programs and in‑store events.
- Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty‑specific promotional materials.
- Maintain a clean, stocked beauty zone that complies with hygiene standards.
- Execute all sanitizer, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing policies in a timely and compliant manner.
- Complete initial 30/60/90‑day onboarding training and ongoing educational programs to ensure current sales, product knowledge, and selling skills.
- Execute the established sales plan, meet the sales budget, and track sales progress.
- Participate in sales training meetings and conference calls concerning programs, promotions, new items, brand launches, and sales goals.
- Compete to beat prior sales goals and maximize sales budget.
- Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company guidelines.
- Seek continuous product knowledge and client service skills; remain an enthusiastic CVS beauty sales enthusiast.
- Exposure to the latest products through brand interaction, training, and initiatives.
- Free samples – try a variety of products you can take home.
- Collaborate with brand partners and colleagues on new product launches and training.
- Help people on their path to better health and make a meaningful impact.
- Stand and/or move throughout the store for the majority of work time to provide excellent customer service and beauty consulting. Able to stoop, kneel or crouch, and reach or grasp objects, including lower shelves.
- Perform duties requiring manual dexterity (e.g., ear piercing).
- Sales oriented.
- Use sales data with product/brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Goal‑driven, able to multi‑task.
- Work independently and as an integral part of a fast‑paced team, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures quickly.
- Flexible retail schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.
- Perform tasks listed in the job description.
- Will be trained and certified to perform ear‑piercing services in all stores.
- In some stores, bilingual beauty advisors who speak English and Spanish are required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior beauty sales experience.
- Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.
- Strong passion for beauty.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Pay Range$18.50 - $27.50 per hour. Base hourly rate; base annual full‑time salary varies by experience, education, geography and other factors.
