Assistant Curator of Plants and Education (Seasonal/Temporary)
Great opportunity for those interested in horticulture, landscaping, and environmental science. Assisting the Senior Horticulturist with the plant collection and database, developing educational programs, and supporting digital content creation.
Responsibilities- Assist the Senior Horticulturist in maintaining the plant collection and database (descriptions, inventory, tags, photos)
- Provide educational program development for youth and adults, including tours and curriculum
- Support the Digital Content Coordinator in creating educational content for social media
- Assist the Outreach Coordinator with educational programming for garden events
This position can be used as an internship based upon college or university approval.
Job RequirementsTwo years of college‑level classes in horticulture, environmental science, education, or an equivalent degree preferred. Must have a general knowledge of horticulture, botanical nomenclature, and plant curation. Comfortable interacting with the public; organized, detail‑oriented, and willing to learn. Understanding of basic photography and videography is preferred.
Wage$17–20 per hour
