Learning and Development Assistant Manager - Banking

Hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
Pay: $28.00/hr (or possibly higher depending on experience).
Your Purpose Will Be The person in this position will assist the L&D manager in the operations of the department, design and write training curriculums, deliver training by various means, and help determine training needs for the Credit Union. All employees are responsible for fulfilling our Mission Statement:
To improve the financial well‑being of our members, while providing world‑class service.
- Presents information using a variety of instructional techniques including role play, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures in a classroom setting.
- Prepares training materials as needed.
- Gathers information from team members and other departments to determine training needs.
- Prepares training updates and communicates updates to team members.
- Assists the Learning and Development Manager in designing and writing training programs.
- Coaches other trainers to improve training skills.
- Schedules training classes.
- Ensures procedures are updated in the Credit Union Procedure Manual and other procedure areas.
- Trains all subjects in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures, including branch operations, lending, leadership development, and other financial and operational topics.
- Administers employee training records and the learning management system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understands the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied.

- Two to three years of experience facilitating training or employee development in a classroom setting.
- Preference given to those with work experience in a banking or financial environment.
- Equivalent to a two‑year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
- Flexible with schedule.
- Excellent public speaking, presenting and coaching/training skills.
- Proficient with standard office business machinery and software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, with noted proficiency in presentation software.
Physical Requirements
- Works primarily in an office/classroom environment, with occasional trips into field locations of various outdoor and indoor climates, public venues, and driving conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly need to see, talk, hear, and perform repetitive movements with arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and reach. A computer, phone (possibly a smartphone), and standard office equipment are normal tools for this position. Specific vision abilities required may include close vision and distance vision. The employee may at times also need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
