Job Description

The Medical Assistant ensures patients are welcomed warmly and their needs are met. MA's support smooth clinic operations in a fast-paced environment, focusing on positive patient experiences. They perform clinical and administrative duties, working at both our Downtown Salt Lake City and West Jordan offices, with travel required.

Schedule (subject to change):

• Monday:
  Downtown SLC
• Tuesday:
  West Jordan
• Wednesday:
  Downtown SLC
• Thursday:
  West Jordan
• Friday:
  West Jordan (2nd and 4th weeks), off 1st, 3rd, 5th weeks

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient flow and experience in waiting and exam rooms
• Prepare patients, take vital signs, perform tests
• Assist with documentation in EMR
• Sanitize exam rooms and equipment, restock supplies
• Handle clerical tasks and medical records
• Perform diagnostic tests, communicate patient concerns
• Respond to inquiries, exercise discretion
• Assist with minor surgeries, schedule tests/treatments
• Apply dressings, maintain safety and HIPAA compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Current CPR Certification
• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent training
• EMR experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Medical Assistant Certification
• Externship completion, outpatient experience, customer service experience, EMR familiarity, scribe experience, CPR and X-ray certifications

Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, stooping, lifting up to 45 lbs, fine motor skills, visual acuity.
