Machine Operator II – $23.85/hr
Location:
W. Jordan, UT. 12‑hour shift (Days or Nights TBD), 2‑2‑3 schedule (working every other weekend).
Salary: $23.85 per hour. Benefits effective day one include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) with match.
Responsibilities- Understand, follow, and enforce safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement projects.
- Operate plastic blow‑molding machines and ancillary equipment to produce containers safely and with high quality.
- Execute mold, insert, and color changes on the line.
- Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow‑molding machines to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
- Perform duties of any utility position during slow periods or as needed.
- Monitor HDPE/PET resin, dryer, material handling, and color systems for proper processing conditions.
- Conduct frequent on‑time quality checks on products according to established standards.
- Assist other operators and maintenance personnel with mechanical repairs.
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance work.
- Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
- Complete and file required documentation promptly and accurately.
- Communicate with the production shift supervisor to coordinate support staff and achieve line objectives.
- Verify material usage per standards.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and programming on the line; notify leads and supervisors of major problems.
- Operate equipment to minimize generation and maximize consumption of regrind, purge, and scrap within customer specifications.
- Identify regrind and chunk produced accurately.
- Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift.
- Assist in training new operators.
- Limited travel may be required.
A minimum of 2 years in manufacturing is required.
Requirements- Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
- Possess computer usage and typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude, and provide exemplary customer service.
- Work independently and complete assignments within instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Convey facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
- Collaborate well with others; proactively contribute to group objectives and volunteer to help others.
The expected salary range for this position is in accordance with legal mandates in certain U.S. jurisdictions; compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
