CNC Applications Engineer II

Job Summary

Take your CNC programming and process expertise to the next level with a global leader in high‑precision machine manufacturing. Our client seeks a highly skilled Applications Engineer II to drive technical solutions from their Technology Center (TC) base.

• Advanced CNC Expertise (3-7 Years):
  Proven experience in defining, troubleshooting, and programming complex manufacturing processes, including 5‑axis and mill‑turn setup using CAM, CAPPS, and direct G‑Code/Macro programming.
• Full Turnkey Ownership:
  Ability to independently design fixtures/work holding, perform accurate time studies (10% tolerance), conduct test cuts, and manage full turnkey applications through final inspection and reporting.
• Technical Sales Consulting:
  Active participation in generating order intake by consulting customers on technical needs, generating engineering proposals, and providing essential machine training after installation.
• Diagnostic & Quality Focus:
  Proficiency in setting up and programming a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to ensure finished parts meet required quality and accuracy standards.
• Compensation & Travel:
  Annual Base Salary starting at $90,000+ (depending on skill set and experience), with 50%+ travel for customer support and projects.
