Our client in custom manufacturing and fabrication is seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to run day‑to‑day fab shop operations at their Salt Lake City, UT location. You will be responsible for setting daily production priorities, managing workflows, leading an 8‑person team, and ensuring safety and quality standards, and keeping complex custom projects moving efficiently from start to finish. Everything produced is custom, which means no two days are the same and problem‑solving is at the core of this role.
Ideal candidates will be bilingual (English/Spanish) production leaders with experience in a fabrication or sign manufacturing environment who thrives in fast‑paced, job‑shop settings. Success in this role requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot workflow, equipment, and production challenges as they arise. Responsibilities- Manage daily production schedules, priorities, and workflow
- Assign work and lead an 8‑person production team
- Oversee job flow across all production stations
- Troubleshoot equipment, material, and file issues
- Enforce safety procedures and OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily shop walk‑throughs and inspections
- Lead daily production and weekly planning meetings
- Coordinate closely with sales and installation teams
- Train and cross‑train staff on equipment and processes
- Oversee equipment maintenance and basic repairs
- 5+ years of fabrication or manufacturing production experience required
- 3+ years of Production Management or Supervisory experience required
- Experience managing teams of 5 or more employees required
- Understanding of CNC concepts and production equipment required
- Production scheduling and workflow management experience required
