Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift

Position Overview:

TheMaintenance Mechanicsupports plant operations bymaintainingplant equipment of the respective business unittomeet and/or exceed the business unit’s goals andobjectivesin safety, quality, productivity,efficiency,and customer service.

TheMaintenance Mechanicensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative &corrective maintenance requirements onvarious typesof industrial equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Adhering to safety, health, and environmental(SHE) standards and policies by taking personal responsibilitytoprevent injury/illnessto oneself & others from exposure to hazards.
  
  Following allpermitproceduresincluding but not limited tolock-out/tag-out,confined space, arc flashand work at heightsas required.
• Utilizingcomputerizedmaintenance management system(CMMS) to document maintenance activities including time spent, parts used,and description of work performed, abnormalitiesidentifiedandfollow up actions needed.

• Performing maintenance activities–preventative, corrective,breakdown and work ordersto improve equipment performance, reliability and product qualityin a timely manneras scheduledor assigned.

• Addressing and resolving any equipment and systems faults related to the ASRS, conveyors or other equipment in the Cooler Warehouse. This task is physically demanding asemployeemust climb inside the ASRS up to 10 levels high wearing the required fall protection equipment.

• Using reasoning and analysis to troubleshoot equipment & parts failurestoimprove equipmentperformanceduring maintenance activities as well asbyparticipatinginfocused improvement activities as assigned.

• Using and cares for personal and company tools & equipment in a professional mannerbyutilizingtools & equipment as they were designed to be used.

• Maintaininga safe,cleanandorderlywork sitewhile performing maintenance activities and well asgeneralareasassigned.

• Respondingtimelyfor maintenance assistance.
  
  Coordinates with maintenance &area owner leadership to prioritize work activities.

• Communicating with maintenance & area ownerstimelyregardingsafetyissues,qualityissuesand work completion delays.

• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Essential Skills:

• Mechanicmustdemonstratestrongcompetency in electrical,mechanical,pneumatic&hydraulicsandbasic computer skills.

• Demonstratestheability to use powered industrial equipment. (forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack)

• Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, electrical drawings/schematics,blueprints, and procedure manuals.

• Demonstrates the ability to write routine reports, SOP’sand correspondence as well as speak effectively to employees and customers.

• Demonstratesstrongproblem-solving and reasoning skills andtheability tounderstandandexecute from instructions.

• Demonstrates mathematical skills to calculate, compute, resolve, interpret, andto formulate for problem solving. Thorough understanding of mechanical procedures asrelated to manufacturing maintenance applications.

• Maintains astrong knowledge of machine functions, equipment safety hazards, power source, stored energy, pinch points, andpossessesexperienced welding skills.

• Understandsanddemonstratesmaintenancefood safetytechniquesto ensure product quality while performing maintenance activities.
  
  Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards
