The Associate Director of Sponsor ships partners with the Director of Sponsor ships to cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with external sponsors to bolster Salt Lake SHRM's financial stability and strategic objectives. This role demands a results-oriented professional capable of identifying potential sponsors, collaborating with various committees to create sponsorship opportunities, and nurturing sponsor relationships.
Position SummaryThe Associate Director of Sponsor ships partners with the Director of Sponsor ships to cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with external sponsors to bolster Salt Lake SHRM's financial stability and strategic objectives. This role demands a results-oriented professional capable of identifying potential sponsors, collaborating with various committees to create sponsorship opportunities, and nurturing sponsor relationships.
Responsibilities- Sponsorship Strategy Development
:
Develop and execute comprehensive sponsorship strategies aligned with Salt Lake SHRM's mission, values, and goals. Collaborate with other board members and committees to define sponsorship priorities. - Sponsor Identification
:
Identify potential sponsors and partners aligned with Salt Lake SHRM's objectives, values, and target audience. Conduct thorough research to understand potential partners' interests, business objectives, and market presence. - Relationship Building
:
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with existing sponsors while actively seeking new sponsorship opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication, engagement, and alignment of sponsor ships with the organization's activities. - Sponsor Coordination
:
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of sponsorship activations and commitments. Coordinate with program and event committees and member engagement to maximize sponsor brand visibility. This includes PDM preparation, event coordination, obtaining sponsor logos, sponsor setup, recognition, and more. - Maintain Sponsorship Database
:
Keep the sponsorship database up to date for future outreach, including maintaining and updating contacts and recording interests and past sponsor ships. - Innovative Approaches
:
Stay current with Salt Lake SHRM's needs and continuously refine the organization's sponsor engagement and partnership development approach.
- Term
: 2 years, - Must be a SHRM National and Chapter member in good standing. (SLSHRM membership will be paid by the chapter.)
- Must be available to meet with subcommittees to align membership growth strategies regularly.
- Serve as a voting board member, attend and participate in all Board meetings (3rd Tuesday of each month, 8:00am - 9:30am).
- Must be able to attend monthly professional development meetings (2nd Tuesday of every month, 10:00am - 1:00pm) and other events as planned.
- Time Commitment:
Approximately 10-15 hours per month.
