Target is a place where team members help families discover the joy of everyday life. The General Merchandise (GM) and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for GM areas of the store. They conduct inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and maintenance, pricing, and support pick, pack and ship fulfillment for guest transactions. The role supports guest service, product availability, and store profitability through efficient operations.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their needs and provide friendly service.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize backroom areas, arrange merchandise, and put up promotional signs for GM areas as directed.
• Operate power equipment for moving merchandise or store fixtures when certified.
• Execute pricing changes, merchandise setup, maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by leadership.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve the experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• All other duties as needed based on business needs.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).

• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving to address guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within set time frames.

• Ability to handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and reliable attendance.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures and other elements while performing duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
