Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop and storage areas.Create, maintain, and manage accurate inventory lists and tracking systems.Organize and reorganize shelving and storage layouts to maximize efficiency and accessibility.Utilize purchase order logs and historical usage data to establish inventory levels and develop minimum and maximum thresholds for stocked items.Log all inbound and outbound materials accurately and notify impacted personnel of inventory movements.Coordinate with vendors to establish regular delivery schedules and manage one-off or emergency deliveries.Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure a smooth and reliable inventory process.Order, receive, and return parts and materials as needed.Monitor and maintain inventory levels at remote jobsites in coordination with onsite mechanics and jobsite personnel.Conduct weekly checks of shop maintenance items and consumable supplies, including bulk oils and related materials.Operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and supplies as needed.Perform other duties and assignments to support the shop as needed.Position Requirements
Experience in inventory management, preferably in a construction, heavy equipment/diesel mechanic repair shop, or industrial environment.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments and jobsite personnel.Familiarity with purchase orders, inventory tracking systems, and vendor coordination.Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.Ability to lift and move materials consistent with shop and jobsite requirements.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer:
