In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimising control and instrumentation systems that are critical to monitoring and controlling plant operations. From planned maintenance to reactive fault finding, your work will ensure equipment performs reliably and safely within strict regulatory requirements.

You’ll be diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs and calibrations, and ensuring all work is completed in line with procedures and safety standards. Working with engineering drawings and technical documentation, you’ll play a key role in identifying improvements, resolving defects and supporting the wider team in maintaining operational excellence across the site.

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of control and instrumentation equipment
• Diagnose faults, investigate issues and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
• Ensure all work is completed safely, following procedures and within environmental limits
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to support accurate and compliant maintenance

You’ll have experience working in industries such as power generation, oil & gas, process or pharmaceuticals, with a solid understanding of maintenance practices and safe systems of work. Strong practical skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information are essential. While not mandatory, qualifications in instrumentation and experience within nuclear settings will further strengthen your application.

• Experience in C&I maintenance within a relevant industrial environment, with strong fault-finding capability
• Understanding of health & safety procedures, including permit-to-work systems in controlled environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Desirable: HNC in Instrumentation & Control and/or experience working within the nuclear industry
