The Department of Health & Kinesiology at Purdue University seeks applicants for an academic‑year (9‑month) clinical faculty (non‑tenure track) position (Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor) with a focus in clinical exercise physiology beginning August 17, 2026. The successful candidate will teach in the Clinical Exercise Physiology (CEXP) graduate program and the BS in Kinesiology program. An ability to contribute to our Health and Wellness Coaching specialization is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will work with program and department leadership to develop and implement the CEXP concentration within our MS in Health and Kinesiology degree. In addition, the candidate will contribute to program accreditation. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative team at a leading public institution.
Applicants must hold a master’s or doctoral (preferred but not required) degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology or a related field (e.g. Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Health and Human Performance) by the time of employment and provide evidence of teaching experience.
ExperienceApplicants must have experience in applied exercise physiology and/or clinical exercise physiology. American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM‑CEP) certification and evidence of success working with high‑risk populations preferred.

About the Department of Health and KinesiologyThe Department of Health & Kinesiology is one of nine units in the College of Health & Human Sciences and is home to 23 full‑time faculty, 650 undergraduate students, and 80 graduate students. We offer a BS in Kinesiology with concentrations in Sports Medicine, Sport Management, and Clinical Exercise Physiology. Our graduate programs include the MS in Athletic Training, MS in Sport Management, MS in Health and Kinesiology, and PhD in Health and Kinesiology.
