Position OverviewWe're looking for a Geotechnical Engineer who knows the consulting world—someone who's worked with firms providing Geology, Environmental Science, and Environmental Engineering services. If you thrive in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary environment, this role will give you the chance to lead from the field and solve real-world problems head-on. You'll take charge of project leadership across multiple regions, using your technical expertise and practical mindset to deliver results that matter.
The ideal candidate will hold a PE license and bring proven experience in the environmental consulting industry, with the confidence to step into a leadership role and the drive to make an impact.
What You'll Do- Lead geotechnical investigations and in-situ testing
- Deliver foundation design, slope stability, and settlement analysis recommendations
- Write and present clear, actionable reports for clients
- Scope, budget, and manage projects with support from a collaborative team
- Oversee fieldwork and lab testing to ensure QA/QC
- Partner with clients, regulators, and project teams to keep work on track
- Mentor junior staff and share your expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field (Master's a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical or applied environmental consulting
- PE license or EIT with the ability to obtain licensure in the state of hire within 12 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, gINT, Geo Studio, or similar software
- Strong writing skills and experience preparing technical reports
- Willingness to travel to project sites within your region
