An established, independent small animal hospital in West Linn, Oregon is seeking a full-time or part‑time Associate Veterinarian to join its close‑knit team. With six doctors and 18 support staff, the practice delivers highly personalized, low volume, high quality care in a calm, modern clinical environment.
The hospital operates Monday through Friday with no weekend hours. Appointments run from 9 am to 4:30 pm with a built‑in 90‑minute midday break for lunch and catch‑up. Doctors typically see 12 to 15 patients per day.
You’ll manage a mix of routine medical and surgical cases in a calm, well‑structured setting that supports deeper client relationships and strong continuity of care. Surgical days are thoughtfully scheduled once per week and typically include two to three procedures such as dentals, spays and neuters, and mass removals. The surgeon’s schedule is cleared for the remainder of the day to allow focused recovery and follow‑up care, with flexibility to accommodate same‑day urgent visits if time permits.
The hospital emphasizes individualized treatment and offers mentorship in complementary modalities like acupuncture, herbal medicine, and naturopathy for those interested in expanding their clinical approach.
You’ll be supported by a skilled team including two to three technicians per doctor and a dedicated Doctor Assistant who handles client communications, lab follow‑ups, and medication refills – so you can stay focused on patient care. AI‑powered transcription ensures your medical records are completed by the end of the day.
The hospital features five exam rooms, two new dental tables, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, in‑house lab, electronic records, and separate dog and cat areas. It is cat friendly, fear free, and built to AAHA standards.
