The Malling School is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Headteacher - Quality of Education. Working closely with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and delivering the next stage of our development.

• whole-school improvement, standards and self-evaluation;
• strategic oversight of curriculum, assessment and outcomes;
• our developing Digital Strategy, including the purposeful and responsible use of AI;
• workforce planning, teacher recruitment and deployment;
• MIS, data and organisational intelligence;
• strategic curriculum modelling, staffing and timetable development; and
• leadership and development of designated senior, middle and subject leaders.

The successful candidate will also deputise for the Headteacher when required and contribute fully to the wider strategic leadership of the school.

One particularly exciting aspect of the role will be the opportunity to lead the next phase of our whole-school Digital Strategy. We want to think intelligently about how technology can improve learning, strengthen assessment and decision-making, reduce unnecessary workload, improve organisational effectiveness and ensure our students develop the digital confidence they will need for their future. We are not interested in technology for its own sake.

We are looking for a leader who can identify where digital innovation can genuinely make things better and then lead thoughtful and sustainable change.

You may already be an experienced Deputy Headteacher, or you may be a highly successful Assistant Headteacher ready to take the next significant step in your leadership career. More important than your current job title will be your impact, values and potential. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a strong track record of improving provision and outcomes and who understands how excellent curriculum, teaching, assessment and leadership come together to create a successful school.

You will be someone who:

• uses evidence and data intelligently without losing sight of the individual students behind it;
• has successfully led significant whole-school improvement;
• can support, challenge and develop other leaders;
