If so, GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you!

We are seeking a committed SEND Intervention Practitioner to join a nurturing specialist school in Tonbridge. You will work with pupils aged 2 to 19 with complex needs, including autism and profound learning difficulties, delivering tailored support to help them build confidence, develop new skills, and achieve their individual goals in a caring and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities of the SEND Intervention Practitioner include:
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions to meet pupils' individual needs
  • Supporting the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Helping pupils develop communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills
  • Supporting pupils with sensory needs, behaviour, and personal care where required
  • Encouraging independence, functional learning, and essential life skills
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support pupil progress
  • Promoting a safe, positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The ideal SEND Intervention Practitioner will have:

  • A genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one

This SEND Intervention Practitioner role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs. You will become part of a supportive specialist school community that values every pupil, celebrates individual achievements, and promotes independence, inclusion, and personal development.
