Are you experienced with septic tanks, sewage treatment plants or other off-mains drainage systems and looking for a field-based role with planned work, sociable hours and no call-outs?
Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing off-mains drainage specialist for an Off-Mains Drainage Surveyor covering mainly Kent, Sussex and Essex.
You'll carry out pre-purchase and condition surveys at residential properties, inspecting off-mains drainage systems to establish their condition, operation and compliance.
The Role
You'll visit customers' properties to inspect and survey septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, cesspits and associated drainage systems.
Your work will include: Inspecting septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, cesspits, chambers and drainage systems
Carrying out CCTV drainage surveys of upstream and downstream pipework
Identifying defects including damaged pipes, displaced joints, root ingress, blockages and poor falls

Recording system layouts, defects, photographs and CCTV footage
Identifying potential compliance issues and required remedial works
About You Strong practical knowledge of off-mains drainage systems, including septic tanks, cesspits and sewage treatment plants
Your experience could come from installing, servicing, maintaining or surveying off-mains systems, as survey-specific training can be provided
Ideally, experience of dye testing and carrying out CCTV drainage inspections using push-rod or similar camera equipment
Comfortable working independently and dealing professionally with homeowners and customers
Full UK driving licence
Why Apply?
If you're used to the reactive nature of the drainage industry, this role offers something different: £45,000 salary
Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm
No on-call rota
No weekend work
No overtime requirement
Fully planned workload
Flexibility to start and finish earlier if preferred
Training provided on the company's surveying processes
