Cygnet Health Care is one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental health care. Cygnet is looking to appoint a Credit Controller to join our growing Head Office Finance team based in Kingshill office.
Please note this is a 12 months’ FTC covering Maternity Leave.
Purpose of the role:
This is a role within the Healthcare Credit Control team as a Credit Controller working on the FT ledger. This role ensures all revenue is collected in a timely fashion on a high volume/high value ledger and dealing with the associated queries that come up.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Chasing debt by email and sometimes phone. You will have a set of accounts to chase, and ensure all invoices are chased and paid in accordance with our payment terms.
Ensuring overdue debt is kept to a minimum with clear status notes and plan on next steps.
Dealing with a high level of complex queries and following the query resolution and escalation process.
Raising credit requests in line with the credit note policy in a timely manner.
To identify any potential delays or high-risk issues on an account and discussing this with the Senior or Credit Control Manager.
To attend weekly 1:1’s with the team manager to go through a debtor review, ensuring the monthly cash targets are being achieved.
Good eye for reconciliation and analysis of large groups of data.
Building good relationships with customers and ensuring an efficient service is being delivered.
Being able to manage and prioritise your workload in a busy environment.
Supporting all team members when necessary and during key financial periods.
Experience2 - 3 years’ experience of credit control is desirable. Also experience of accounts receivable procedures would be beneficial.
Working with large data sets, comfortable with manipulating excel spreadsheets.
