  • Travel and overnight stays may be required to meet project needs.

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the slaughterhouse or animal‑by‑products sector.
  • Solid understanding of UK and EU environmental legislation, particularly the IED and Environmental Permitting Regulations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex industrial data.
  • Experience dealing with the implications of BAT conclusions on permits, industry and the environment.
  • Strong relationship‑building and networking abilities.
  • Planning, prioritising and organising tasks to achieve timely results.
  • Adaptability to challenges and consensus‑building.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion, and encouragement of others to consider diversity issues.

We offer a range of development opportunities and appropriate training.
