Role OverviewEIS is looking for a dedicated Schools IT Technician to play a key role in delivering high‑quality IT support to schools and academies. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, supporting education environments with reliable, secure and effective technology.
Responsibilities- Managing school IT infrastructure to ensure systems remain secure and effective.
- Supporting the resolution of incidents, including complex networking, Windows Server and device issues.
- Working closely with school staff and leaders to understand needs and provide professional IT advice.
- Preparing technical information and documentation to support incident resolution and decision making.
- Supporting classroom technology including touch panels, smartboards, projectors and visualisers.
- Working with third‑party providers on behalf of customers to ensure services meet requirements.
- Highlighting IT risks and recommending appropriate mitigation steps.
- Providing remote support when not on site, ensuring timely updates and accurate records.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting networking, Windows Server and user device issues.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
- The ability to build constructive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience supporting classroom technology and school‑specific systems such as SIMS or Arbor.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and service delivery standards.
- Salary of £25,948.96 to £28,500 per annum.
- 25 days annual leave, increasing with length of service.
