Chef (Seasonal Staff) – Temporary Christmas Cover

Location: Near West Malling

Contract: Temporary Christmas Cover

Hours: 9 am‑5 pm or 12 pm‑9 pm Mon‑Sun (shift pattern available on request)

Start Date: Wednesday, 3rd December

Hourly Rate: £17ph DOE

Position requires a driver’s licence and a vehicle.

Our client is looking for extra help over the Christmas period. As a Chef, you will support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the kitchen during the busy Christmas period. You will assist with food preparation, help maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and contribute to a clean, safe, and well‑organised working environment. Working closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams, you’ll bring a flexible and positive approach to ensure customers enjoy a consistently high‑quality dining experience throughout the seasonal peak.

• Support general food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Assist with daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Carry out washing up, cleaning, and general kitchen housekeeping
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Help with stock rotation and keeping work areas organised
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and support front‑of‑house when needed
• Carry out ad‑hoc duties as required to support the overall operation

• Driver’s licence and a vehicle are required for the position
• Experience in a kitchen, with a proven track record of success
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management
• Willingness to take on ad‑hoc duties
