Yard Operative

£13.25 per hour | Monday to Friday | 40 Hours per Week

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join a busy and friendly team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term employment with a company that values teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Working within a close-knit operation, you'll be expected to support the wider team with a variety of tasks. This is not a role where you'll spend the entire day on a forklift, so a hands-on approach and willingness to get involved are essential.

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently
• Moving materials around the yard
• General yard duties and housekeeping
• Assisting colleagues with operational tasks as required
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

• A valid external forklift licence (essential)
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Good attention to detail and a diligent approach to work
• The physical fitness required for manual handling and yard work
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, industrial, or waste environment would be advantageous

• £13.25 per hour
• Monday to Friday working pattern
• 40 hours per week
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Overtime available upon securing a permanent contract
• Supportive team environment where everyone mucks in and helps each other
• Opportunity to develop within a stable and growing business
