Mental Health Technician

Mental Health Technician - Full Time at Perimeter Healthcare Careers

Shift: 7 pm–7 am or 7 am–7 pm. Immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician / Youth Care Worker at Perimeter Behavioral of West Memphis, Arkansas.

• Care for patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
• Conduct direct observation rounds and document patient behavior.
• Model and teach appropriate life skills to patients.
• Orient patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
• Provide a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate (training will be provided).

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent required; preferred with educational or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work.
• Experience:
  
  At least one (1) year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred or one year as a corpsman in the military.
• Schedule:
  
  Must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on / 2 days off.
• Physical:
  Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull to perform restraints.
• Minimum age: 21 years.
