Laboratory Technician

Warren Oil Company has an immediate need for a Lab Tech for our West Memphis, AR plant.

The Lab Tech is responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests to ensure that products meet design specifications.

• Conduct laboratory tests per ASTM
• Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Maintain digital records per ISO 9001 requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Ensure quality both inside and outside of the lab of products
• Comply with safety and quality procedures while completing tasks in a timely fashion
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the company by implementing, maintaining, and following relevant procedures, documents, and training required for effective functioning of the corporate ISO systems

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience. May have BA or BS in Chemistry or science-related field.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and work orders.
• Ability to problem-solve
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel (for data entry)
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions.
