Locations:
West Memphis

Pay Range: $32.78 - $35.30 hourly, depending on experience

Schedule:

6:00pm - 6:30am, with a 2, 2, 3 rotation

Responsibilities
  • The Mechanic Manufacturing II is responsible for repairing and maintaining all assets in the production facility.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner; complete planned and unplanned maintenance as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently; maintain inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Make design improvements and process changes to improve overall production efficiencies.
  • Complete preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Identify and diagnose problems by observing equipment in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Monitor and document maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and inventory levels.
  • Inform production staff of preventive maintenance techniques to minimize downtime and support top-line efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs or instructions; strong computer skills; ability to multi-task.
  • Competency in monitoring and adjusting equipment speeds, temperatures, and liquid levels; identify and troubleshoot complex process issues.
  • Make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic adjustments; preferred ability to read blueprints, electrical prints, and machine schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex processing equipment; initiative to further technical expertise; experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of related work experience or 2 years of college/technical training in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge with 2+ years of experience in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment, and/or certification of technical schooling in this area

Noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment
