Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Pride Staff is working with a local manufacturing company who is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will provide complex maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment as well as ongoing maintenance. The ideal Maintenance Technician demonstrates an excellent understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment, knows how to program and troubleshoot PLCs, has an excellent understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics as well as being able to weld equipment as needed.

The Maintenance Technician is a full time, temp to hire position in West Memphis, AR.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Duties to Maintain & Repair a Variety of Production & Plant Facility Equipment & Assist The Maintenance Manager in Ordering Parts & Supplies & Occasionally Equipment
• Assist in The Installation, Relocation & Reinstallation of New & or Existing Equipment
• Responsible For The Repair, Adjustments & Ongoing Maintenance of Facilities
• Perform Periodic Tests or Checks on All Electrical Equipment
• Troubleshooting, Diagnose, & Repair Equipment Breakdown Involving Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Components
• Perform Regular Checks on All Building Equipment Such as Pumps, Chillers, Compressors & Power Systems
• Quickly Respond to Equipment Breakdowns, Make Repairs as Needed to Minimize Downtime
• Interact With & Provide Guidance to Management in Determining The Best Engineering Solutions For Efficient Production Runs
• Be Available For Overtime Assignments as Needed Including Arriving Before Shift Start & Staying After Shift Ends
• Ability to Aid in Advanced Changeover Tasks
• Responsible For Any Other Special Projects as Assigned
• Follow All Safety, OSHA & PPE Requirements

Maintenance Technician

Job Requirements:

• 5+ Years of Manufacturing Maintenance Experience
• Ability to Read & Understand Technical Drawings & Documentations
• Ability to Effectively & Professionally Communicate in Verbal & Written Form to Fellow Team Members & Supervisors
• Ability to Demonstrate Basic Electrical & Mechanical Skills
• Advanced Welding, Fabrication & Machining Abilities
• Apprenticeship Towards Electrical Preferred
• Knowledge & Troubleshooting PLCs Preferred With Siemens & Allen Bradley
• Must be Able to Size Breakers, Wire, Motors & Starters
• Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting & Problem Solving Experience
• Must be Able to Lift up to 50lbs & Bend, Stretch, Stand, & Lift
• Must be Able to Stand For up to 12 Hours
