Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and project management expertise in a new cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in leading tender engineering activities, ensuring alignment with global target costs, tender budgets, and planning for APM (Automated People Mover) projects. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Tender core team, engineering team, and customer interfaces), manage functional engineering activities for tenders, perform technical exchanges with customers, analyze requirements, and provide technical documentation for tender submissions, and much more.

We’ll

look to you for:
  • Managing the interfaces with the Tender core team and ensuring engineering internal interfaces,
  • Performing technical exchanges with the customer,
  • Analyzing customer requirements and identifying gaps versus the reference product,
  • Providing technical documentation for tender submission to the customer,
  • Defining the best compromise to address the gaps (QCD) including Mechanical and Functional Architecture,
  • Identifying technical risks and ensuring they are addressed by dedicated action plans agreed upon by the Platform and Metiers,
  • Establishing engineering QCD commitments, including master planning, costing, PDO, risk assessment, and management plans,
  • Validating engineering assumptions and outputs with the Site Engineering Director (or Bid Technical Manager) and Bid Manager,
  • Applying a design‑to‑cost approach,
  • Demonstrating a customer‑oriented approach and fostering effective communication and relationships.
All about you
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical background preferred),
  • Experience or understanding of design in rail or similar industries such as automotive, truck, buses, or aerospace,
  • Familiarity with Engineering development DFQ sequences and design‑to‑cost approaches,
  • Knowledge of product architecture, operation, and performance,
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills,
  • Customer‑oriented approach with the ability to perform technical exchanges effectively,
  • Good understanding of the tender process and the roles of key players,
  • Knowledge of train operation and maintenance (preferred).
