Overview

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
  • Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
  • Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
  • Explain how to use features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet.
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; guide guests to enroll, activate and use these features.
  • Handle returns following register prompts and collaborate with Leaders as needed while following Target policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
  • Stock supplies during store hours and remain available for the guest.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders and DU Returns; ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Other duties based on business needs.

What We Expect in Basics
  • Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; physical requirements include lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
  • Flexible work schedule; reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
  • Comfort with varying temperatures and store environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
