Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Join Walmart as a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role involves supporting and overseeing repair of Walmart facilities refrigeration & HVAC equipment using commercial skills and hand/digital tools.

• Maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training for safe operation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations per Walmart policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 2 years experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver's license with clean driving record; ability to pass MVR.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years old.

• Minimum 2 years mechanical maintenance or construction in commercial HVAC/R and building controls (or 4 years).
• Type I/Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.

• Competitive hourly wage: $23.00 – $45.00/hr (actual based on skills).

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 – $45.00. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
