General Warehouse associates are an essential part of NMG’s distribution network. They load and unload trucks, move material within the facility and from the loading platform using hand trucks, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment. Picking, pulling, and filling orders, stocking and maintaining inventory, and ensuring products are accurately labeled, boxed, and wrapped are key responsibilities. The role offers physical demands and potential advancement into lead, driver/dispatcher, or inventory roles.
KeyFunctions & Responsibilities
- Pull and fill stock orders for outgoing deliveries.
- Separate, label and verify the count of incoming freight deliveries.
- Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling).
- Use the computer system to locate products and stock incoming deliveries.
- Maintain ERP and scanner usage, handle returns and cores, maintain cycle count accuracy, and adhere to safety standards.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Accommodate some overtime and weekend work during periods of peak demand.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Prior warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
- Experience using an MRP such as AS400.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication with co‑workers to satisfy customer requirements.
- Basic mathematical calculations for accurate job tasks.
- Organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
