The receiving associate is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading, breaking down, palletizing, scanning and tagging product being brought into the warehouse. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring merchandise is available for order selection in a timely manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Unloading trailers using powered industrial equipment.
- Accurately breaking down and palletizing products to be received.
- Inspects to ensure proper products are received.
- Inspects products for damage.
- Accurately counts and receives products.
- Accurately labels products once received.
- Note any discrepancies on all associated paperwork.
- Maintains safe, clean, organized work area.
- Performs daily equipment inspections and reports any findings to management.
- Maintains productivity and accuracy standards while working in a fast – paced environment.
- Follows all company policies and OSHA safety requirements.
- Performs other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Ability to work for extended periods in multi – temperature storage environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb as required throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move products as required by the position.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or pallet jack in confined warehouse aisles.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
$15.50 - $18.50/Hour
