About

The Role

Employee will provide technical expertise and project engineering to support the Gearing and Reliability Solutions team. The position focuses on mechanical project development, design, and execution to improve our customer's production and reliability performance, primarily on mechanical power transmission systems. The employee will be part of a team focused on personal and professional growth, with ambitious career plans and determination to achieve them.

The role also involves motivating and leading diverse teams to achieve project goals. This position reports to the Director – GRS Technical Services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate between sales, application engineering, and the build/field services team to align the customer's expectations with our execution.
  • Provide advanced engineering expertise to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Develop scope, design, construct, and install or modify existing equipment.
  • Provide field support, including project supervision and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and leadership.
  • Provide emergency response support at all days/times.
  • Willing to travel at least 20%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
  • Stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and be able to sit and climb or balance.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, occasionally up to fifty pounds.
  • Use various measuring tools, basic math skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves exposure to hazards, chemicals, or physical risk, requiring use of PPE.
  • Typical office environment with ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Five (5) or more years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in mechanical power transmission.
  • Experience in materials, component selection, and general machine shop processes.
  • Experience with increasingly complex machines and systems design using Solid Works and analysis tools.
  • Experience in machine design, power transmission, steel fabrication design, development, and project management.
