Position Summary:

The Early Childhood Department at the JCC Metro West in West Orange, NJ is opening a new infant room in January 2026 and is seeking a Full-Time Lead Infant Teacher to staff the room. We have an impressive facility, supportive community, and a teamwork-oriented staff. Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and maintaining a consistent routine and classroom management.
• Collaborating with an assistant teacher and colleagues in other infant rooms, within a cooperative and growth-oriented atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will understand developmental milestones, be nurturing, patient, reliable and joyful. Knowledge of Reggio-Emilia and a constructivist approach is a plus. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and co-workers.

• Child Development Associate Certification or College Degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Child Development, etc.) required

Compensation
:
Salaries are commensurate with credentials; range is $20 – $23 per hour.
