Position: Staffing Coordinator
Facility: Acacia Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Location: West Orange, New Jersey
Shift: Full-Time
Salary: Up to $32 per hour
About the Role: Acacia Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a highly organized and proactive Staffing Coordinator to join our team. In this essential role, you will coordinate nursing staff schedules, maintain accurate attendance records, and ensure staffing levels meet the needs of our residents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and work closely with the Director of Nursing Services (DON) and Human Resources to support smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an up-to-date contact list of all nursing department employees.
- Track and report daily attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism to the DON.
- Coordinate modified work duty schedules with HR and the DON.
- Assist staff with scheduling-related forms and inquiries.
- Create, post, and maintain monthly nursing schedules with proper coverage.
- Address and resolve employee scheduling and staffing concerns.
- Provide s, time cards, and schedules to new hires before orientation.
- Collaborate with nursing supervisors to resolve staffing challenges.
- Keep accurate records of staff certifications and licenses while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Serve as a backup for the Unit Secretary as needed.
- Adjust staffing based on census changes to minimize overtime.
- Prepare payroll for the nursing department and manage agency staffing.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a nursing facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
