ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Cardiovascular Lab oversees the operations of the Cardiovascular Laboratory Services. This role involves planning, directing, and evaluating the activities of the Cardiovascular Laboratory staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting goals, policies, and procedures.
- Engaging in performance improvement initiatives.
- Possession of a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintenance of this certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire and maintenance of this certification.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience is required.
- At least five years of experience in Coronary Care Nursing and / or the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Ability to interpret EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings proficiently.
- Experience operating Cardiovascular Laboratory equipment, including pressure injectors, hemodynamic monitors, and cardiac output computers.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory for all new hires after January 11, 2021.
