Klassic Recruiting in partnership with our client is searching for a Tax Supervisor
for their firm.
- The Tax Supervisor assumes responsibility for overseeing the daily progress of each assignment, with an increasing number of clients assigned and more direct working relationships with clients.
- Performs detailed reviews of tax returns prepared by other professional staff including federal and multi-state S corporations, Partnerships, high net-worth individuals, trust & estates, and foundations.
- Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively through speaking, writing and work papers documentation. Work papers exhibit organization, completeness and clear explanations with sound conclusions.
- Applies accounting theory, the tax statutes, regulations, and other source material relating to taxation of client situations.
- Demonstrates technical knowledge and ability to supervise an increasing number of engagements in preparing for continuing advancement in the Firm.
- Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge of the computer software and systems used for tax applications and Firm operations.
- Recognizes significant tax and accounting issues in client operations and develops recommendations for solutions.
- Supervises complex taxation matters with the ability to research non-routine matters.
- Provides supervision and on-the-job training to staff assigned to engagement.
Education, Experience, and
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Either holds a current and valid CPA or EA license or working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the Florida CPA exam or the Special Enrollment Exam, respectively.
- CPA’s must be members in good standing with the AICPA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office programs.
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and tax standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing.
