Senior Accountant – Commercial Real Estate Portfolio
West Palm Beach, FL (4 Days On-site)

A nationally recognized real estate company with a multibillion-dollar portfolio is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its commercial property portfolio in West Palm Beach. Known for its landmark developments and long-term investment in major U.S. markets, the firm fosters a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where team members are encouraged to innovate, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to the communities they serve.
Responsibilities- Support daily accounting functions across multiple commercial assets
- Review general ledger activity, prepare accruals, and post adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Produce financial analyses for internal leadership and external partners
- Partner with executives on cash flow forecasting
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual workpaper packages based on posted journal entries and GL activity
- Contribute to the preparation of annual GAAP financial statements and audit support
- Assist with budget development and quarterly reforecasts
- Build reporting templates in Excel and participate in process or technology improvement initiatives
- Support ad hoc and special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 3+ years of real estate accounting experience; CPA a plus
- Public accounting background preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Professional, mature judgement and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with JDE is an advantage
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
