Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Salary: $55,000-$60,000 annually

Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to join our client's team in West Palm Beach, FL. This position will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past‑due accounts.
• Record and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts.
• Maintain accurate customer records and account information.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Prepare AR aging reports and assist with cash flow reporting.

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process, verify, and code vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals.
• Coordinate timely and accurate vendor payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain organized and accurate AP records.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and outstanding balances.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and statements.
• Assist with general accounting activities and month‑end processes as needed.

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with Quick Books, Sage, and Microsoft Office
  , particularly Excel.
• Experience working with ERP or cloud‑based accounting systems.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial transactions, and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Is comfortable managing both AP and AR functions.
• Demonstrates professionalism when communicating with customers and vendors.
• Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000 annually

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
